‘RuPaul’s Drag Race UK’ has apologise after Baby blasted the show over an "embarrassing" mistake.
The 25-year-old drag performer slammed the BBC Three reality show for using a photo of her fellow competitor Black Peppa, 29, - who echoed Baby’s sentiment - instead of her during fellow contestant Dakota Schiffer’s exit interview, as she named Starlet, Baby and Danny Beard as her closest pals from her time on the show.
Baby wrote on Twitter: "I know I'm late to the party but I genuinely hope the person who edited @dakota_schiffer's farewell video gets f****** fired.
"It's so embarrassing that someone on the @dragraceukbbc socials team can't differentiate between the only two Black girls on the cast."
Black Pepper agreed, responding on the microblogging site: "I second that! It's honestly lazy and disgusting."
The reality show - which is hosted by RuPaul and has a judging panel including Michelle Visage, Graham Norton and Alan Carr - offered their “heartfelt apologies” to the two queens and all those impacted by the post.
The show said on their official Twitter account: “We are so deeply sorry about an error that appeared on a BBC social video that was made to support 'RuPaul’s Drag Race UK'.
“We have sincerely apologised to both Baby and Black Peppa and we also want to extend our heartfelt apologies to anyone else that this post offended.
“As soon as the mistake was spotted, the post in question was removed from all of our platforms.
“Once again, our sincerest apologies.”
In response to this statement earlier this week, Baby accepted their apology and commended the team for "taking responsibility" for their mistake.
She wrote: "Shout out to the @dragraceukbbc socials team for taking responsibility for their actions. Thank you."
