Ross Kemp is set to host a 'Tiger King'-style documentary.
The former soap star will investigate big cat owners in the UK for an upcoming documentary on ITV.
A source told The Sun newspaper's Biz TV column: "Ross loves getting under the skin of gritty topics and interviewees. And given how big 'Tiger King' was last year, this seems a good idea.
"No one has really delved into the lives of British Joe Exotics and what possesses them to keep these creatures in the way they do.
"There are numerous examples of Brits having all sorts of animals, and this doc will look at some of the characters involved."
The series has been given a tentative title of 'Ross Kemp Meets Britain’s Tiger Kings' and work on the show started towards the end of last year.
The 60-minute episodes are set to air later in 2021.
Ross, 56, rose to prominence in the role of Grant Mitchell in 'EastEnders' but is now also well-known for his documentary series 'Ross Kemp on Gangs'.
The actor previously admitted that the documentaries have changed his outlook on life.
He said: "I would say I’m unrecognisable from the pompous, rather self-indulgent little twit I was when I was younger."
Ross also admitted that making documentaries has provided him with a totally different challenge to acting.
The TV star thinks his shows require more "team work" than filming a soap or a film.
Speaking about the demands of making a documentary, he explained: "It’s a totally different ballgame.
"The thing I love about documentary making is that it’s a team sport. If you’re in places like Iraq, Syria, Afghanistan, you have to put a lot of trust in people that you work with."
