Rosamund Pike will take up the role of Lady Penelope in 'Thunderbirds Are Go!'
The 34-year-old actress is excited to get underway in proceedings to lend her voice to the iconic English aristocrat in the upcming remake of the extremely popular 1960s TV series, which will hit screens 50 years after its original television debut, in 2015.
She said: "I'm very excited to bring Lady Penelope's wry wit and taste for adventure to a new generation. Exploring the scenes with David Graham has been an absolute delight. The scripts are very modern, very fresh and very funny."
'Facejacker' star Kayvan Novak will voice US inventor Brains, while original cast member David will reprise his role as chauffeur and International Rescue agent Parker, and he is looking forward to playing the part again.
He explained: "I am triple chuffed to be on board the new series of 'Thunderbirds Are Go!' and reprising my role of dear old Parker with such a distinguished cast.
"My driving skills are in good nick and I am delighted to be behind the wheel again with M'Lady. Cheerio!"
Executive Producer Giles Ridge added: "I can't think of anyone better than Rosamund to bring back to life the fabulous Lady Penelope and we are honoured that David Graham has joined the cast to revisit his role as Parker."
The original series followed the adventures of the Tracy brothers, who used their turbo-charged aircrafts to help those in need.
'Love Actually' actor Thomas Brodie-Sangster will play Thunderbird 2 co-pilot Gordon and his brother John Tracy, while Rasmus Hardiker has landed the roles of the youngest and oldest of the brothers, Alan and Scott, with David Menkin set to voice their sibling Virgil.
