Robert Beck is loving playing an "out-and-out baddie" on 'Hollyoaks'.
The soap star - who joined the Channel 4 show as Fergus Collins earlier this year - admitted while he's best known for portraying "dodgy" characters, his latest role is the most villainous to date.
He told Inside Soap magazine: "I'm always known for playing dodgy people on television! Although I've never been a proper 'baddie' before.
"I did play Jimmy Dockerson on 'Coronation Street', but he was only doing bad stuff for Tony Gordon, who was the real evil guy.
"Then in 'Brookside', I don't think people considered Peter Harrison bad, even though he did some awful stuff.
"But Fergus is an out-and-out baddie! He serves no other purpose that to be nasty to people, and I have to say, it's really good fun!"
As well as his role as Peter Harrison on 'Brookside' between 1991 and 1993, Robert also played Gavin Ferris on 'Emmerdale' back in 1999.
And from 2008 to 2009, he appeared as Jimmy Dockerson on the cobbles, while other credits include 'Doctors' and 'The Bill'.
He's even appeared in 'Hollyoaks' before, having played D.S. Parker eight years ago.
His return and new character came in March, and he previously gave fans a hint of what to expect.
Robert - who is the husband of 'Coronation Street' actress Jane Danson (Leanne Battersby) - said at the time: "Fergus is a lovely character to play ... he’s cheeky, but he’s a man you really wouldn’t want as an enemy, and to be honest ... you would probably have to be pretty careful if he was your friend...”
He added: "Everyone has been so welcoming, including many old faces who were around in my 'Brookie' days.
"Working with Denise [Welch] and Nikki [Sanderson] is great - I know them both and they’ve really helped me settle in.”
