Robbie Williams could give 'X Factor' fans a surprise by dressing up as a drag queen.
The 'Let Me Entertain You' hitmaker has hinted that he might give his alter-ego Rayne Wooney - named after footballer Wanye Rooney - a debut on the ITV talent show after the judge witnessed one of the hopefuls this year, Thomas Pound, audition in drag.
The budding showman from Bridgend, South Wales, impressed the panel, Robbie, his wife Ayda Field, One Direction's Louis Tomlinson and Simon Cowell with his rendition of 'Simply The Best' by Tina Turner on stage at The SSE Arena, Wembley over the weekend.
An insider told The Sun's Bizarre column: "His stunning rendition of 'Simply The Best' got everyone on their feet."
Thomas then showed his versatility by performing as Lady Freida Wylde, and the former Take That star said: "I'd quite like to give drag a go. You'll have to duet with me.
"My drag name would be Rayne Wooney."
It wouldn't be the first time the 44-year-old pop star - who has has kids Teddy, five, and Charlton, three, with the 'Loose Women' panellist - has donned a women's wig and a dress.
For his song 'She's Madonna' from his 2006 LP 'Rudebox', which features the Pet Shop Boys, Robbie donned lipstick, a short black wig and a tight-fitted gown.
During an episode of 'Loose Women' in 2016, Ayda mocked her husband's hairy chest in a picture of Robbie from the promo in front of the nation.
She said: "Rob fancies himself sometimes.
How rough is that with the chest hair coming out of the dress? It's aggressive."
She then agreed with the rest of the panel - which included Coleen Nolan and Andrea McLean - that he looked a bit like Hollywood actress Anjelica Huston.
In response, she quipped: "Before an aggressive wax."
