Netflix has announced plans to adapt Roald Dahl's books into a number of new animated series.

The online streaming service unveiled the exciting new this week as it confirmed the likes of 'Matlida', 'Charlie and the Chocolate Factory' and 'The BFG' would be reimagined alongside other beloved classics.
In a statement on Twitter, the company said: "Netflix will adapt the Roald Dahl universe of stories as a new slate of animated event series.
"'Charlie and the Chocolate Factory', 'Matilda', and 'The BFG' are just a few of the titles from the author's beloved and award-winning library that will be reimagined for a new generation."
Titles like 'The Twits' and 'Gerge's Marvellous Medicine' are also set to be brought to life on the small screen.
Roald's widow Felicity Dahl said: "Our mission, which is purposefully lofty, is for as many children as possible around the world to experience the unique magic and positive message of Roald Dahl's stories.
"This partnership with Netflix marks a significant move toward making that possible and is an incredibly exciting new chapter for the Roald Dahl Story Company. Roald would, I know, be thrilled."
Production on Netflix's animated series is set to begin next year, and the platform has outlined its "great creative ambition" for the exciting new project.
