Ricky Gervais will perform as David Brent for Children In Need.
The 55-year-old comedian will reprise his role as 'The Office' character to help raise money for disadvantaged children across the UK and abroad.
Paul Wright, an executive producer for the BBC, told the Daily Star newspaper: "We are over the moon to welcome megastar David Brent to sing his heart out and help raise money for disadvantaged children throughout the UK."
Ricky wrapped on the popular BBC Two show in 2003 to work on other projects but resurrected the character for the 'David Brent: Life On The Road' movie, which saw David embark on a UK tour with his band Foregone Conclusion.
The comeback was criticised by some film reviewers, who dubbed his film "unfunny" and "narcissistic" but Ricky isn't worried whether people like his movies or not.
He said previously: "I used to think a bad review meant there would be everyone agreeing with it with burning pitchforks. Now it doesn't hurt me. I've gone through it and come out the other end thinking, who cares?
"I don't care now whether people like my face, or my films, or my laugh. I used to worry about a bad paparazzi photo. Now I take pictures in the bath looking as ugly as I can!"
Ricky will join a star-studded line-up including Eddie Redmayne and Little Mix for BBC's Children In Need, which will air on November 18.
