New game show 'Prize Island' is rumoured to be facing the axe.
The pricey programme - which was devised by 'Pointless' star Richard Osman - is yet to air on ITV after being filmed in October in Mozambique, Africa, and its lack of appearance on the small screen so far has sparked speculation it could be ditched.
A source told The Sun newspaper: "'Prize Island' has been kicking around for so long everyone's convinced it's been dumped.
"It's a very ambitious show and expensive -- because the production crew and stars had to be carted off thousands of miles away to film it. The rumour is it isn't very good."
Richard's 'Pointless' co-star Alexander Armstrong and 'Big Brother' host Emma Willis present the show, which sees couples try to win prizes hidden away in an African paradise.
However, ITV insist the programme will air "sometime in 2013", but decided against saying when.
The rumours come after similar tropical island-based shows such as 'Survivor' and 'Love Island' - which featured stars including Abi Titmuss, Bianca Gascoigne and Calum Best over its two series - were given the boot.
