Richard Madeley wants 'I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!' viewers to vote for him to do the show's trials.
The TV presenter will head to Gwrych Castle in Abergele, north Wales, later this week as the latest series begins on Sunday (21.11.21), and the 'Good Morning Britain' guest presenter is keen to get up close and personal with the creepy crawlies in the trials.
He said: "I really hope I do get voted for the trials.
"The thing about this programme is you mustn’t go into it if you take yourself remotely seriously. I don’t and I am thoroughly looking forward to being covered in god knows what!
"You have to be prepared for people to laugh and I see this as a bloody great romp of fun."
Former 'Strictly Come Dancing' judge Dame Arlene Phillips will become the first dame to take part in the ITV show, and she isn't as keen as Richard to take part in the trials.
She said: "People going on 'I’m A Celebrity' are making a choice to eat rice and beans.
"And if they are lucky, they will eat a little bit more. Food is the least of my worries. I am not afraid of being bored either as I do like to sit and think. It is the trials and challenges that I am most worried about."
Pop star Frankie Bridge will also be taking part in the programme, and despite admitting she is scared of "most things", The Saturdays singer Frankie - who is a 'Loose Women' panellist - plans to get stuck in.
She said: "People assume that if you are in a pop group you lead a really glamorous lifestyle and that I wouldn’t want to get stuck in, but I know I will give everything a go."
Former 'BBC Breakfast' host Louise Minchin, Olympic gold medallist Matty Lee, music producer Naughty Boy, and Radio 1Xtra DJ Snoochie Shy are also taking part in the show.
Other stars set to compete for the King or Queen of the Castle title include former Premier League footballer David Ginola, Paralympic gold medallist Kadeena Cox, and 'Emmerdale' actor Danny Miller.
'I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!' starts Sunday November 21st at 9pm on ITV and ITV Hub.
