Richard Madeley is set to star in this year's 'I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!'.
The 65-year-old TV presenter is said to have put pen to paper on a six-figure deal - worth an estimated £200,000 - to be a part of the forthcoming 21st series of the ITV show, which is to take place at Gwrych Castle, North Wales, for a second year running.
A source said: "Richard’s been asked year after year but the timing has never been right. But now, finally, he’s said ‘Yes’."
ITV bosses are said to be hoping Richard - who has guest presented 'Good Morning Britain' in recent weeks - will be "castle gold" on the show.
The source added to The Sun newspaper: "He’s a favourite with ITV execs.
"He’s brilliant off and on screen so it seemed as good a time as any to throw caution to the wind and eat animal bits.
"He’s a fantastic coup and a nailed-on fan favourite.
"Once you wind him up, off he goes - he will make for castle gold."
Richard - who has been married to his former 'This Morning' co-host Judy Finnigan since 1986 - previously appeared on former 'I'm A Celebrity' spin-off show 'Extra Camp' in 2019 to support the couple's daughter Chloe Madeley's husband, former rugby union star James Haskell, who finished in ninth place in the jungle that year.
ITV have declined to comment on reports of Richard signing up.
But should the TV host appear in the castle this year, he could be rubbing shoulders with Dame Arlene Phillips.
The former 'Strictly Come Dancing' judge has also been linked to this year's series.
And should she sign up for the show, the 78-year-old star would become the oldest-ever contestant on the ITV programme, and the first Dame.
A source said last week: "Arlene is strong and tough and her energy is boundless.
"No doubt she’ll have the group dancing around the campfire in a bid to beat the cold and keep morale high. Should be fun."
