Richard Madeley has admitted it is "not on the agenda" for him to join 'Good Morning Britain' permanently.

The former 'This Morning' presenter has been guest co-hosting the breakfast show now and again for the past four years, and while there is now a vacancy since Piers Morgan quit 'GMB' in March, Richard has insisted he is happy to fill in, and could be doing so until August for the time being.
When asked on 'Lorraine' if he could be on 'GMB' permanently, he said: "Well, that is not on the agenda.
"I'm basically doing what I've done before, which is to fill in.
"They've given me lots of nice dates.
"I'm doing it this month and next month, maybe even into August, which is great.
"Everybody is speculating about what's going to happen now Piers is gone, but I know no more than you do.
"I'm not being defensive, I just don't know. I'm very happy to do it the way I'm doing it at the moment."
The 65-year-old TV presenter admitted he is a huge fan of working on the show, describing it as a "tonic".
He added: "I love the show.
"I used to sit in for Piers when he went away, I started around 2017.
"Piers was meant to go to America last year before COVID and I was going to be filling in for him quite a lot.
"All that went west because of the virus and he didn't go anywhere ..."
In reference to Piers departing the programme, Richard then joked: "Well he did in the end."
Lorraine Kelly chuckled, and replied: "Yes, he did."
Richard added: "Those opportunities were shut down, but now they are opening up the studio to more people I've been invited back.
"I love it. It's a lovely team. I get on really well with the other presenters like Susanna, Ranvir and Charlotte.
"To me it's a tonic. It's nice to be back in a suit and tie."
