Richard Hammond would be supportive if his daughters entered the ‘Love Island’ villa.
The ‘Top Gear’ presenter admitted he couldn't imagine appearing on reality TV himself because his life is "pretty boring", but he would back his kids, Isabella, 21, and Willow, 19 - who he shares with wife Mindy Hammond - if they accepted an offer to take part in the ITV2 dating show.
Richard, 52, said: “‘I don’t think I would want to do reality TV personally. I’m kind of pretty boring and I don’t need to show the world that.
"I can’t stop my daughters doing anything they want to do. They’re 21 and 19 and terrifying and if they want to do something, they will do it. I don’t imagine they would want to [go on 'Love Island'] to be honest. I think they’ve been asked.”
The 'Grand Tour' presenter's comments come after former footballer Michael Owen's daughter Gemma Owen, 19, appeared on the latest series of the dating show this summer.
The ex-England striker admitted it was "every father’s worst nightmare" that his daughter was taking part in the programme, but he was being "supportive".
He said at the time: "I have no doubts that she will make us all proud.
"It's probably a father's worst nightmare, but whatever she wants to do you've got to be supportive.
"It's been different without her in the house. I've got other kids and my wife and it's been quite tough because she's had to switch her phone off and we've had no contact for a couple of weeks so that's
been the hard bit.
"I've heard a lot about it. I think old, grumpy men like me will always have an opinion on it because I don't watch it and you just hear the snippets, but she assures me that it's not as bad as I think.
"So, we'll give it a watch and I hope she enjoys herself."
Gemma went on to finish runner up alongside her boyfriend Luca Bish.
