Ria Hebden has signed up for 'Dancing On Ice'.
The TV presenter - who fronts the entertainment news section on ITV's 'Lorraine' - is the latest celebrity to be announced for the upcoming series - which is set to get underway in the new year - and while she's finding the prospect "a little bit scary", she's excited to learn a new skill on the hit show.
Appearing on 'Lorraine' on Friday (08.10.21), she said: "It'll be fun. I mean, this is one of ITV's most sparkly shows, so when they asked me I was like, 'Absolutely! I watch it at home, it'll be brilliant to learn a new scary skill!'
"But you've got to say yes to things that excite you that are a little bit scary because that's where the growth happens, right? I'm hoping so anyway!"
Ria admitted she was "slightly terrified" and felt like the whole thing was an "out of body experience", particularly as she hasn't skated for a long time.
She added: "I went when I was, like, 10 years old with my gran and granddad.
"People in Yorkshire will remember Bradford Ice Rink, I skated there but if I'm honest, the last time I went on the ice was about six years ago with Noah and I did more drinking of mulled wine than skating."
She's ready to throw herself into the competition, and she hopes to inspire other parents to try new experiences.
She said: "I'm gonna go on this journey and try my best and hopefully inspire mums, dads and everyone just to give things a go."
Ria joins previously announced stars, 'Coronation Street' legend Sally Dynevor, Happy Mondays dancer Bez, Paralympian Stef Reid, Love Island's Liberty Poole, rugby star Ben Foden, Paul Gascoigne's son, Regan Gascoigne, pop star Rachel Stevens, professional dancer Brendan Cole and Olympian Kye Whyte.
