Today (February 9th, 2022), Roku announced that the next season of one of their Original shows, Reno 911!, will be coming to The Roku Channel later this month (February, 2022).
Reno 911! Defunded will see original cast members Thomas Lennon (Bad Teacher), Robert Ben Garant (Baywatch, writer), Kerri Kenny-Silver (TV’s Superstore), Niecy Nash (TV’s Scream Queens) and Cedric Yarbrough (Paradise PD) reprise their roles in this hilarious cop show that sees the law tackle with everyday civilians.
The upcoming season of Reno 911! has a brilliant range of guest stars, including the Halloween franchise’s leading lady, Jamie Lee Curtis, Weird Al Yankovic (The Weird Al Show), and George Lopez (Marmaduke).
The year is 2022, and crime is only getting more frequent; however, there is one city whose law enforcement never shy away from a tough or unusual call.
Reno’s best and brightest are back, and this time there is a rather sizable obstacle in their way – they've been defunded!
They have no money and no back-up, just what every police station can live without... The cops in Reno, however, make it their mission to still be able to service their community as best they can, although this might be easier said than done.
The next season of of Reno 911! may see the authorities struggle to keep their feet on the ground, but there is no shortage of chaos, humour, and some amazing guest stars.
The trailer for Reno 911! Defunded is a mixture of total mayhem, well-written comedy, and a brilliant cast who are more than enjoyable to watch; if only their characters had the funding to match their valour!
We see a clip of Curtis in the show, as well as explosions, (violent) crimes, and a whole lot of ridiculous scenarios that we can come to expect the Reno police force to be involved in.
The mockumentary is popular among audiences, and Roku will be home to the next season of one of the most chaotic shows available.
All 11 episodes of Reno 911! Defunded, which are all 30 minutes long, will be available via Roku from Friday February 25th, 2022.
