Rachel Stevens is "terrified" of making her 'Dancing On Ice' debut.
The former S Club 7 star - who rose to fame as a member of the 'Reach' group in the late-90s - is partnered up with ice skating professional Brendyn Hatfield on the forthcoming season of the ITV competition, which kicks off on January 16.
And the 43-year-old singer has admitted that while she can dance, she is feeling nervous about performing on the ice in front of the nation.
In an interview with Hello! magazine, she confessed: "I’m so excited – I can’t wait for it all to get started.
"It’s such a great team of people and I love my partner Brendyn Hatfield, so it’s all super-exciting but terrifying at the same time. Totally terrifying!
"I’ve danced and performed for years but doing it on ice means starting something totally from scratch.
"But I can’t wait to just go for it and have fun – and I’m loving working with Brendyn. He’s just adorable and such a brilliant teacher."
The 'Sweet Dreams My LA Ex' hitmaker also addressed having an advantage as a dancer.
The pop star added how "dancing with a partner is so different to the kind of things I did when I was in a band.
"Of course, if you’re a performer you’ve got that experience behind you, but I think everyone’s got to just bring themselves to the show."
Rachel previously admitted she hadn't properly skated in a long time after starting when she was 10, and she insisted she's only "dabbled".
Asked if she's skated before, she said when it was announced that she had signed up for the new series: "Only with the Penguin with my kids you know every Christmas.
"I did it when I was 10 [years old] and dabbled in it for a little bit and I really loved it but I’m very wobbly.”
Rachel explained her decision to take part was motivated by the chance to "learn a new skill", and she's glad her daughters - Amelie, 11, and Minnie, seven - will be old enough to enjoy the experience.
She said: "The opportunity came up and I thought what an amazing opportunity to learn a new skill.
"I love the whole idea of working with a team and your partner and also for my girls to be a part of this. They are at an age now where they love all the costumes.”
Rachel will be joined on the ice by the likes of 'Coronation Street' star Sally Dynevor, Happy Mondays dancer Bez and Paralympian Stef Reid.
