Queen Elizabeth was once nearly struck by a piece of flying wood when watching an explosion being filmed on 'Emmerdale'.
The monarch - who died aged 96 on Thursday (08.09.22) - visited the iconic Yorkshire village in 2002 during which the soap's stars were shooting an explosion at the post office, and while she took in the spectacle a piece of wood went "quite near" the monarch, but she didn't even flinch.
'This Morning' soaps reporter Sharon Marshall said on the brunch-time show: "She went to see the actual scene they were filming of the post office being blown up.
"A piece of wood, apparently, blew a lot closer than everyone was expecting.
"She didn't flinch. She didn't move at all. She just continued with the tour.
"The wood went over the street and quite near the queen. They all continued filming the scene. She didn't flinch an inch.
"She was charming, continued with the tour, went around and said hello to everyone."
In 2001, the queen visited the 'EastEnders' set at Elstree, Hertfordshire, and she was given a guided tour by Dame Barbara Windsor (Peggy Mitchell).
Barbara said at the time: "I know she isn't an 'EastEnders' fan but it's lovely she's here. I am a royalist - I love the Prince of Wales [then-Prince Charles] - and Camilla watches 'EastEnders'."
The Duke of Edinburgh also visited the set, and was given a separate tour by Wendy Richard (Pauline Fowler), during which he asked Adam Woodyatt (Ian Beale): "Are you an actor or an operator?"
What's more, the queen visited the 'Coronation Street' set in July 2021 for the first time in 39 years.
She was greeted by soap stalwarts William Roache - who plays Ken Barlow, the soap's longest-serving character - Barbara Knox (Rita Tanner), Sue Nicholls (Audrey Roberts) and Helen Worth (Gail Platt) outside the Rovers Return at Manchester's MediaCityUK.
Elizabeth looked delighted to meet the 'Corrie' quartet, and during her cobbles visit - to celebrate the show's 60th anniversary - she learned how the soap adapted its filming process amid the coronavirus pandemic.
Upon her arrival, the monarch was greeted by ITV's chairman Sir Peter Bazalgette, and John Whiston, managing director of continuing drama.
She later headed to a different part of the studios to go inside the Rovers - the soap's pub - where she met other cast members, including Sally Dynevor (Sally Metcalfe), Alison King (Carla Connor), Shelley King (Yasmeen Metcalfe), Jane Danson (Leanne Battersby) and Colson Smith (Craig Tinker).
The queen walked off the cobbles, down a red carpet, to the iconic 'Corrie' theme tune playing in the background.
During her visit, she was presented with her very own cobble.
