The 'Great British Bake Off' judge has encouraged others to get the vaccine when they are given the chance, and she praised her local health centre for being "very efficient".  

Prue said: "I think everybody should get jabbed the minute they get the chance.

"I've had both jabs. My local health centre is very efficient.

"I would encourage everybody to do it."

The 80-year-old star will return to the 'Bake Off' tent later this year for 'The Great Stand Up To Cancer Bake Off', which features a star-studded line-up including James McAvoy, Daisy Ridley, and Jade Thirlwall.

But Prue admitted not many of this year's celebrity contestants can cook - resulting in the series being "such fun" for her to judge.

Speaking on 'Good Morning Britain', she added: "I'm not allowed to talk about that.

"The great, wonderful thing about Stand Up to Cancer is it's so much more relaxed than the main show.

"I love it, because a lot of those celebs, let's face it, can't cook.

"That makes it such fun for me."

News of Prue having both of her coronavirus vaccine jabs comes after the star said she doesn’t think the over 80s, herself included, should be the first priority group to receive the jabs, because they don’t help the economy and have already had the time to lead a "good life".

She said: "I’m not sure that emphasis is right. If I were choosing the priority group to receive the vaccine straight away, it would be the young people who earn money to keep the economy going.

"I’ll probably eat my words if I get COVID, but I feel that if you’ve had a good life, and your life is nearly over, that it’s the wrong group to prioritise.

"If you were in a lifeboat and choosing between chucking out an 80 year old and a 40 year old, because the boat is sinking and you need to discard one person, wouldn’t you rather save the 40 year old with young children than a granny?"
