Priya Gopaldas and Brett Staniland have been voted as the least compatible couple by their ‘Love Island’ co-stars.
On Sunday’s (15.08.21) episode of the ITV2 reality competition, the seven couples were each tasked with voting for the two couples they think are the least compatible, with those receiving the most votes being at risk of being dumped from the island.
And it was the 23-year-old medical student and the model, 27, who received the most votes by a big margin, as they received five votes from the six other couples.
Three couples - Liberty Poole and Jake Cornish, Faye Winter and Teddy Soares, and Mary Bedford and Aaron Simpson – all received three votes each, while Kaz Kamwi and Tyler Cruickshank, Millie Court and Liam Reardon, and Chloe Burrows and Toby Aromolaran didn’t receive a single vote.
The results mean that Priya and Brett, Liberty and Jake, Faye and Teddy, and Mary and Aaron are all at risk of being dumped from the villa.
The public must now vote for the couple they’d like to save from eviction, and on Monday’s (16.08.21) show, that result will be announced and at least one couple will be dumped.
Priya and Brett’s five votes came after the trainee doctor admitted she was “bored” during a dinner date with the PhD student.
The couple have only been together for a few days as two of the newest arrivals into the villa, and Priya said she found herself “zoning out” of their conversation.
For Liberty and Jake, the result follows a rocky week for the couple – who are the only official boyfriend and girlfriend pair in the villa – amid allegations that Jake hasn’t been genuine about his feelings.
And Faye and Teddy also hit a rough patch recently when Faye discovered Teddy had found another woman “sexually attractive” while he was in Casa Amor, and accused him of lying to her by keeping it a secret.
Viewers will find out who leaves the villa on Monday when ‘Love Island’ returns at 9pm on ITV2 and the ITV Hub.
