AJ Pritchard has been confirmed for ‘I’m A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!’ - after he tested negative for coronavirus.
The 26-year-old professional dancer has tested negative on two occasions after contracting the deadly respiratory virus last week, and he has been given the green light to take part in the 2020 series.
AJ told Metro.co.uk: “Yes I did have a positive coronavirus test early into my isolation. I’m very happy to report that I’ve had two tests recently and they have both come back very negative which means I’m 100 per cent going into the jungle.
“I’m very excited about that. It’s a big relief for everybody. I just want to thank ITV for all their stringent measures. The whole point of us going into lockdown and isolating is just in case this does happen.”
The former ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ star tested positive for Covid-19 during one of the routine tests the celebrities had undergone during their two-week isolation period.
An insider revealed: “This is the last thing anyone wanted. It has been a shock to AJ as he’s been feeling fine and following the precautions.”
Now, AJ is keen to set up camp in Gwrych Castle in Wales and get stuck into some trials knowing his brother, former 'Love Island' star Curtis Pritchard, will be voting for him to take part in them.
He said: “My family, especially my brother and girlfriend, will be voting for me to do every trial. I just really want to take it in and do as much as possible.”
What’s more, AJ is sure he will be showing off his dance moves and teaching his fellow campmates a few routines.
He added: “I’m sure there will be a little salsa masterclass, it will appear I’m sure it will,”
