'Preacher' will return to Amazon Prime Video in two months' time.
The television network has confirmed that the supernatural show will return to the online service on June 25 and the new episodes will be released on a weekly basis.
The show is based on the cult comic book 'Preacher' and tells the twisted tale of Jesse Custer (Dominic Cooper), a small-town preacher inhabited by an angel-demon spawn that gives him the power to make people do his bidding, Tulip (Ruth Negga), his volatile true love, and Cassidy (Joseph Gilgun), a 119-year-old Irish vampire.
The first and second series, which have already aired on Amazon Prime Video but are available stream again now, saw Jesse learn that God is absent from Heaven.
Jesse, Cassidy and Tulip set out on a road trip to find God but they had to dodge the Saint of Killers (Graham McTavish), a mythical killer from Hell, along the way.
their adventure leads them to New Orleans where they faced new trouble - local gangsters and dangerous agents - learn of a new, even bigger, secret.
With his lover's life hanging in the balance and his friendship with Cassidy falling apart, Jesse has to rely on a mysterious figure from his past to save his friends.
The third series, which is made up of 10 episodes, is inspired by the second volume of the comic book franchise, 'Until the End of the World' and stars Dominic, Ruth, Ian Coletti, Graham McTavish, Noah Taylor, Pip Torrens, Julie Ann Emery, Malcolm Barrett, Justin Prentice, Ronald Guttman and new comers Betty Buckley, Jeremy Childs, Colin Cunningham and Liz McGeever.
