Piers Morgan and Susanna Reid have sent Kate Garraway's husband "every ounce of strength" as he battles coronavirus.
It was revealed late last week that Kate's significant other Derek Draper was in intensive care after he tested positive for coronavirus, and the 'Good Morning Britain' co-hosts sent their well wishes to their fellow presenter and her family on today's (06.04.20) show.
Susanna said: "I know I speak for all of the team and all of our viewers when we send our love to Kate Garraway and her husband Derek Draper.
"We send him every ounce of strength as he recovers for coronavirus. Our love to Kate and the family."
Piers added: "This has really brought it home to us.
"Everyone has been touched by this. This is something that affects all of us."
Lorraine Kelly - who has been hosting 'GMB' daily from 9am after filming was paused on her 'Lorraine' show for the foreseeable future, amid the pandemic - also sent her well wishes, and admitted Derek testing positive has "hit us all".
She said: "I think it's hit us all. Obviously, we're sending our love and our best.
"It's so important, it brings it home so much now, that we have to obey the rules. We really do.
"We have to be sensible. There were some people out in the sunshine yesterday that weren't observing social distancing."
Piers and Susanna took to social media to send their support to Kate and Derek over the weekend.
A spokesperson for Kate confirmed last week: "Kate's husband Derek Draper has been taken to hospital and is being treated in intensive care with a confirmed case of COVID-19.
"He was admitted on Monday and has since tested positive for the virus. Kate hasn't been tested however she has also been displaying mild symptoms, also since Monday, and as a result has been on strict isolation with her children at home."
