Piers Morgan is set to star on ‘Who Wants To Be A Millionaire?’ alongside his former rival Jeremy Clarkson.
The 55-year-old television personality previously feuded with Jeremy at the 2004 Press Awards when the pair were involved in a fight, but they have seemingly buried the hatchet after Jeremy’s team emailed Piers to invite him onto the hit ITV show, which the 60-year-old presenter hosts.
Piers will appear on the celebrity-driven Christmas special of the show, which begins filming this month, and has reportedly asked his ‘Good Morning Britain’ co-host Susanna Reid to be a Phone A Friend.
A source told The Sun newspaper: “Morgan and Clarkson squaring off on prime-time will be telly platinum.
"Piers relying on Jeremy for an answer with Ask The Host will be hilarious viewing.
“Piers has asked Susanna, a history buff, and Joan Collins, who has a wealth of general knowledge, to be Phone A Friends.”
The source also said ex-‘Top Gear’ presenter Jeremy has been joking if Piers doesn’t manage to take home at least £32,000 for charity, “he will never live it down”.
Jeremy and Piers - who also clashed in 2003 when Jeremy allegedly threw wine at Piers as they boarded Concorde’s last flight - began to put their differences aside in a six-hour drink session in 2014, and have been improving their friendship ever since.
Meanwhile, Piers recently published his new book called 'Wake Up: Why The World Has Gone Nuts’, which he said would teach people how to “get a collective grip”.
He said in September: "The book's about everything from gender, to race, to identity, politics, to sexism, to feminism, to masculinity: all these things, we've all got to get a collective grip.
"So I'm hoping the book, when it comes out, will wake people up and at the very least, let us have a debate without everyone throwing their toys out the pram.
"It's got to the stage where the majority of people are now too scared to offer any opinion about anything, particularly if you're in any form of public life.
"We had a story on 'GMB' this week about a hair salon in Gloucestershire, where the owner wasn't allowed to apply for a 'happy' stylist because it was discriminatory to unhappy people. I mean, f*** off! What is the world coming to?"
