Piers Morgan thinks he's largely responsible for Susanna Reid's new romance.
The outspoken TV star - who presents 'Good Morning Britain' alongside Susanna - believes he played a crucial role in helping the 48-year-old presenter to find love with Crystal Palace chairman Steve Parish.
Piers, 53 - who is married to journalist Celia Walden - told The Sun on Sunday newspaper: "Since Susanna became the First Lady of Crystal Palace, we haven't actually done the whole couples thing.
"The trouble is they don't drink, the pair of them, so 'Do you want to come out for some water and kale?' isn't really the best invite, is it? There's been no double-dating since she gave up alcohol."
Piers also joked that US President Donald Trump has played a crucial role in Susanna's romance.
The presenter - who made his debut on 'Good Morning Britain' in 2015 - said: "I've been the gooseberry with them before. And I was responsible, along with Donald Trump, for them getting together.
"We [Piers, Susanna and Steve] were all out in New York for the US elections in 2016, and we all got blind drunk and had a great night.
"There was a frisson then between them and, were it not for Donald Trump, Cupid's bow may very well have fired in a different direction."
However, Susanna was quick to dismiss Piers' claims.
She admitted: "We'd been friends for years, but Piers likes to claim credit for everything. And, for the record, I can still be fun without drinking."
