The 55-year-old presenter has recently been absent from 'Good Morning Britain' due to fears over coronavirus, but after testing negative for the disease, Piers has confirmed he's set to return to the ITV show next week.
Responding to a news story about his ongoing absence from the programme, Piers - who usually hosts the show alongside Susanna Reid - tweeted: "Relax everyone, I'll be back Monday."
The outspoken star has also tried to put the UK's lockdown in some sort of historical context.
He wrote on the micro-blogging platform: "REMINDER: We've had to suffer one week of lockdown so far for every YEAR the WW2 generation had to suffer similar curbs on their liberty. (sic)"
Meanwhile, Piers recently confirmed via Twitter that he'd tested negative for coronavirus.
He said on Twitter: "UPDATE: My COVID-19 test was negative. I was advised to take the test by my doctor after developing possible coronavirus symptoms, and was entitled to do so as a Govt-designated essential worker. I'll be back on @GMB as soon as my doctor advises I'm OK to return to work. (sic)"
Prior to that, Piers revealed he was poised to miss the show after undergoing a test for the disease.
The presenter wrote: "UPDATE: On medical advice, and out of an abundance of caution for a mild symptom that arose in past 48hrs, I've had a test for COVID-19 and so won't be working on @GMB until I get the result back, which should be tomorrow. (sic)"
