The former 'Good Morning Britain' presenter is currently holidaying in Antigua with his three sons and has heaped praise on the resort for being like a "second home" for him and his brood.

Sharing a picture of his kids when they were younger and now at the resort, he wrote on Instagram: "How it started ... How it’s growing ... Thanks to all the brilliant staff at @jumbybayresort for another wonderful holiday.

"Really is a very special place run by very special people. My sons and I go there most years for our annual ‘lads holiday’ and love Jumby like a second home because that’s how everyone who works there makes us (and every other guest) feel. ps Relax, trolls, I paid full whack … I just give them lots of Insta love because they deserve it."

Earlier this year, Piers left the breakfast news show 'Good Morning Britain' following his comments about the Duchess of Sussex in the wake of her and her husband Prince Harry's interview with Oprah Winfrey and he recently teased that he is "having some very interesting conversations" about his TV return.

He said: "Well, I'm definitely having some very interesting conversations Sean, as you can probably imagine.

"There are lots of people that wouldn't mind a piece of the action with somebody who trebled the ratings on that morning show in five years, which is what we did."

Piers also opened up on his departure from 'Good Morning Britain', describing it as "a weird, surreal day".

He added: "There was a weird surreal kind of day on the day I left where having reached a ratings high. Normally you would get invited to a board room and presented with a carriage clock but I got invited to either apologise to Meghan Markle for disbelieving her so I decided to leave the building."
