Phoebe Waller-Bridge has reportedly renewed her deal with Amazon Studios.
The ‘Fleabag’ creator and star will continue her professional relationship with the Amazon Prime streaming service for at least another three years after she signed an initial deal with them in 2019.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the 37-year-old actress-and-writer is currently executive producing the adaption of the book ‘Sign Here’ alongside its author Claudia Lux - who is also acting as scriptwriter and co-executive producer - and Jenny Robbins from Wells Street Films.
The story is dubbed as “a darkly humorous, utterly gripping debut novel about a guy who works in Hell (literally). Peyote Trip has a pretty good gig in the deals department on the fifth floor of Hell. Sure, none of the pens work, the coffee machine has been out of order for a century and the only drink on offer is Jägermeister, but it’s still Hell and after waiting a millennium, he comes up with a plan that might just change his life (and death) forever".
It is one of several projects in the pipeline from the ‘Killing Eve’ writer at Amazon.
However, Phoebe experienced a setback after the ‘Mr and Mr Smith’ series she was working on - a reboot of the 2005 movie starring Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt - after she and her co-collaborator Donald Glover stopped working with one another in September 2021 due to creative differences. Despite the professional hiccup, the ‘Solo’ co-stars remain friends.
