Phillip Schofield feels "great" after having his first coronavirus vaccine.

The 'This Morning' co-host has praised the vaccination process, from the "easy" NHS app to the "absolutely delightful" team who administered his jab, after he had his first one yesterday (09.03.21).

The 58-year-old star said: "Booking online with the NHS app is about the easiest thing you will do, if you are online.

"It's so simple. I picked my time, picked my day, it came up with a suggestion of when my second vaccine would be.

"I went along and had the vaccine. The team were absolutely delightful, and it didn’t hurt at all.

"I feel great."

Phillip is hoping to have his second jab in about 12 weeks, and he urged others not to feel nervous about their vaccine, explaining the experience was "efficient and friendly and lovely".

Speaking on 'This Morning', he added: "I had the Oxford-AstraZeneca Vaccine one.

"My arm doesn't hurt. It didn't hurt going in.

"The whole experience was efficient and friendly and lovely. Don't be nervous. It was great.

"So that is something that's worked absolutely beautifully."

Phil's co-host Holly Willoughby said: "I can't wait to get mine."

This comes just days after Phil's ITV co-star Lorraine Kelly had her vaccine.

She wrote on Instagram: "Hurrah! I’ve had my first vaccine. Thank you to all volunteers and NHS staff at Marlow centre. Feel very lucky. Easy peasy and no side effects. Thanks also to armed forces all over the country - we will get there xxx (sic)"

The TV presenter shared a video of herself having her vaccine administered, and afterwards she said: "Is that it? That was so easy. I never even felt that."
