Phil Tuffnel hopes that David Beckham will appear on a future episode of A Question Of Sport.
The retired cricketer is a team captain on the sports quiz show and thinks it would be great to have the former England football team captain on his team to take on Matt Dawson and his assembled celebs.
When asked if he'd like the ex-Manchester Utd player on the BBC One show, he exclusively told BANG Showbiz: "Well I'm not sure whether Becks would be up for doing a show like that, but it would be great to have him on. But I don't know, we'll have to get the BBC to give him a call. I'm lucky that I've had lots of my mates on, people like Ian Botham and others. It's such a fun show to do, there's such good banter between me and Matt."
Phil's next TV project will see him and retired rugby star Matt appear with host Jason Manford on 'A Question of Sport: Super Saturday'.
The pair will take part in a series of fun challenges against each other with celebrity guests, and Phil, 48, admits some of the tasks got quite competitive, especially the parallel parking contest.
He said: "Me and Matt are going to be doing a new Saturday night TV show, which is going to have lots of challenges and stunts ... We do parallel parking, there's a high wire challenge ... One of the cars when we doing the parking challenge was written off, the front of it was torn right off! You just give it back and let someone else sort it out.
"When you've played professional sport you always have that competitive streak and it does come out when you're doing things like that."
Speaking about the show, Jason said: "I am made up to be hosting this brilliant show ... Families will be able join in at home with the rounds they know and love and they will be in for a treat, with bigger and better challenges."
