Peter Kay made a surprise appearance at a charity screening of 'Car Share' to thank fans for their support.

The 44-year-old comedian - who had to cancel his live tour dates last year due to "unforeseen family circumstances" - took to the stage at the Blackpool Opera House on Saturday (07.04.18) to introduce the final episode of his sitcom to the audience and plead with viewers not to spoil the plot.
He said: "Thank you very much for supporting the Lily Foundation raising money for mitochondrial disease. Very kind of you. I appreciate it.
"Enjoy the last ever episode of 'Car Share'. Don't tell anyone the end. Or tell anyone about any hedgehogs.
"So thank you. Lots of love, enjoy, take care, bye-bye."
Ahead of the screening, Peter also repeated sex abuser Jimmy Savile's famous catchphrase "now then, now then".
According to footage obtained by Mirror Online, Peter referenced Savile again, telling the 3,000-strong crowd: "I'd like to say we forgive you but we don't."
Peter's appearance is his first in public since he tweeted a statement in December to announce his stand-up tour had to be cancelled.
He wrote: "Due to unforeseen family circumstances, I deeply regret that I am having to cancel all of my upcoming work projects. This includes my upcoming stand-up tour, Dance for Life shows and any outstanding live work commitments.
"My sincerest apologies. The decision has not been taken lightly and I'm sure you'll understand that my family must always come first. I've always endeavoured to protect my family's privacy from the media. I hope that the media and the public will continue to respect our privacy at this time. Once again, I'm very sorry."
