Peter Capaldi doesn't want to see K-9 return to 'Doctor Who'.

The 57-year-old actor has confessed he's not keen on the idea of his character having a dog for a companion as the fourth Doctor, played by Tom Baker, did in the late 70s and early 80s.
He's also admitted he'd rather have another female companion after Jenna Coleman's character Clara Oswald was killed off earlier this series.
Peter told The Sun newspaper: "I'd always fret about a male companion in case they tried to dispatch me and could run faster than me!
"I also had to say no to a pet - a companion is a handful enough. But it's not up to me. There may be a pet.
"I like having a female companion because I think with my Doc there is no romantic subtext, so it becomes about those individuals and how they bond and feel about each other."
However, showrunner Steven Moffat previously revealed he'd like to bring K-9 back and even thought about including the robotic dog in the 2014 Christmas special.
He said at the time: "I love K-9. I had a whole scene where the Doctor was pointing out how ludicrous Santa Claus is, having a reindeer with a glowing nose and so on... and then in comes K-9."
