The 32-year-old reality star took part in the first celebrity edition of the Channel 4 show - which sees Pete go undercover with a celebrity catfish profile - to raise money for Stand Up To Cancer as his dad was diagnosed with leukaemia last year.

He told The Sun newspaper's Bizarre TV column: “It’s a really worthwhile cause and it’s always nice to be able to do things that give back in a way. He’s still going through treatment. It brings it home that it just affects everybody.”

Pete will be joined by fellow catfish stars Baga Chipz, Kaye Adams, Nadia Sawalha, Sam Thompson, Charlotte Crosby, Rickie Haywood-Williams and Melvin Odoom, while Denise Van Outen, Duncan James and Saffron Barker have all signed up to appear as themselves.

Kaye and Nadia will play the game as TV star Gemma Collins, and Sam and Pete will be playing as 'Countdown' co-host Rachel Riley. Charlotte, 30, will join the game as pop star Peter Andre, Rickie Haywood-Williams and Melvin Odoom will take on the persona of will.i.am, while Baga will play as Kim Woodburn in the celebrity series, which will see the well-known faces move into The Circle's iconic apartment block, where they can only communicate with each other through a virtual platform called The Circle.

Pete was with Sam for the duration of the show - which was filmed last autumn - and claimed he couldn't get rid of the 'Made in Chelsea' star.

Speaking about their time on the show, he quipped: “I feel like I can never get away from him. He’s like a bad smell, he just kind of lingers.”
