Paul Sinha is set to front a new television-themed quiz show.
The 50-year-old star - who is best known for his appearances on 'The Chase' - is reportedly being lined up by ITV to present a new programme called 'Paul Sinha's TV Showdown', which will see two teams of celebrities putting their small screen knowledge to the test.
A source said: "There’s an abundance of quiz shows on ITV already, but one just about telly hasn’t been done in a while. This is a fresh take on a familiar format.
“It’s like 'Telly Addicts' meets 'Celebrity Juice', with the popular Paul Sinha at the helm.
"It won’t be as mad and crazy as 'Celebrity Juice', but it will have two teams of celeb guests going head to head."
The details are still being ironed out for now, but it's said bosses are keen for the show to air sooner rather than later "in a primetime slot".
The insider added to The Sun newspaper's Bizarre TV column: "It’s being worked on at the moment and they hope it won’t be long before it’s on air. And it will be on the main ITV channel in a primetime slot.”
Last year, Paul revealed he had been diagnosed with Parkinson's disease, and he went straight to work on 'The Chase' after opening up on his diagnosis.
He recently revealed on Twitter: "In June last year I blogged that I had Parkinson's.
"Then I shut my computer, left my agent to deal with things, and went into a studio to record The Chase.
"Today was that episode and all things told I was proud to get that close to that team on that day."
He is also determined to remain positive, and he wants to "enjoy life".
Paul said: "My health is dependent on positivity, I've got to deal with it the best that I can. I'm determined to enjoy life and prove that life is there for living.
"I'm lucky in general with my dream job and I need to celebrate in the many ways I'm a lucky person."
