An angina attack won't stop Paul O'Grady from working.
The 58-year-old presenter - who has previously suffered two heart attacks - was rushed to hospital this week after being stricken by a reported angina attack, but he is expected to return home later today and he can't wait to get back behind his desk on his ITV chat show.
Thanking fans for their support, he said: "I am feeling much better - I would like to thank all the nursing staff for their kindness and everyone who has texted or phoned in wishing me well."
While Paul wants to return to work, one of his friends has urged him to rest and take things easy.
Pal Pete Price told the Liverpool Echo newspaper: "I just love him to bits, and he has been overdoing it.
"He has just come back from Africa doing some work for a new TV show next year, and then there are all his animals and all the other things he does.
"When I saw he wasn't on TV I texted to ask what had happened and he told me about it.
"He is a total workaholic, and I have told him he needs to take things easy."
The outspoken TV star - who first suffered a near-fatal heart attack in 2007 - had only returned to his show last week after a two-year break.
