Paul O'Grady has said he has more interest in having soap stars on his chat show than A-listers.
The 58-year-old TV presenter admits he kicks up a fuss to his 'Paul O'Grady Show' bosses until they give in if they have chosen a guest he doesn't like, preferring to speak to TV and theatre stars rather than huge artists and Hollywood movie actors.
He said: "If there's somebody I'm not mad on, I go in with my arms folded saying I can't bear them and I don't shut up until they relent.
"People are always going on about Hollywood A-listers but I like guests from 'Coronation Street', 'EastEnders' and the West End."
Despite his comments, Paul has become friends with Lady Gaga since having her on his show and insists he loved having her on the programme.
He added to Radio Times magazine: "She's wonderful. She came on the show before she was big and we just hit it off.
"When we did the 9pm slot, we gave her a whole hour. She's my friend."
