Paul O'Grady has gone off the taste of alcohol since his second heart attack.
The 57-year-old presenter - who was taken to intensive care when he suffered heart attacks in 2002 and 2006 - admits he still has a drink now and again but is unable to go on a big bender because he fears he would end up in hospital.
He exclusively told BANG Showbiz: "I still go down the pub every now and then, but I've gone off the taste of booze.
"I can't do the hangovers, I mean I used to be able when I worked in the clubs and 10 pints of cider was no problem. But if I did that now I'd be hospitalised."
While the 'For the Love of Dogs' host can still sink a cold pint, he has stopped going clubbing because he feels like too much of an old man surrounded by youngsters.
He added: "I don't go clubbing anymore. Not because of my heart attack, I just can't be bothered. The last time I went I thought, 'Bloody hell, what am I doing here surrounded by children?' "
