Paul Hollywood has put his plans for a US TV show on hold in order to focus on 'The Great British Bake Off'.
The 50-year-old baking judge was the only member of the presenting quartet - completed by fellow judge Mary Berry and hosts Mel Giedroyc and Sue Perkins - to remain loyal to the former BBC show when it announced its move to Channel 4 earlier this year, and has now reportedly put his plans to break America on hold as "he knows 'Bake Off' needs him".
Paul filmed a pilot episode for a new show with US channel Food Network in August, and was hoping to commission a full series before Love Productions - the brains behind 'Bake Off' - began negotiations with broadcasters.
A source told The Sun newspaper: "Paul shot the pilot in August just before the BBC started negotiating with 'Bake Off' makers Love Productions.
"Producers loved the one-off he had made and commissioned a full series to shoot next year in LA.
"But Paul had committed to stay with 'Bake Off' and he knows that there's a lot on with his already busy schedule and holding down the show.
"It's frustrating for him but he knows that 'Bake Off' needs him. Hopefully he can have another stab at the US."
The news comes after Paul recently revealed his decision to follow the baking competition over to its new home after he feared he'd lose his job.
He said: "It came down to, my job was still there and I didn't want to lose my job.
"I love doing what I do.
"At the end of the day, I'm a baker by trade, that's all I am."
