Patsy Kensit is "obsessed" with the Crime+Investigation channel.
The 'McDonald & Dodds' star cannot get enough of watching documentaries about kids who kill their parents, but her own children think she is "really weird" because of her penchant for tuning into crime shows.
Speaking to BANG Showbiz and other media in a webinar ahead of the new series of the ITV drama, she said: "I'm obsessed with the Crime+Investigation channel.
"I love things like teenagers that kill their parents, and murder, murder, murder.
"Then they have the fictional shows as well.
"It's an unhealthy ... kill, kill, kill. Kids that kill their mum.
"My kids, before they moved out, are like, 'Mum, you're really weird.'
"So I'm all over it [the crime genre]."
The 52-year-old actress loved working on 'McDonald & Dodds' because "everyone wanted to be there so much", and she particularly enjoyed reuniting with long-time friend Martin Kemp.
She added: "This is a great script. And everyone wanted to be there so much, which is lovely.
"You find yourself moaning sometimes and you just think, 'My god, I'm working, I'm here, there's great people, it's so welcoming.
"It was just so lovely to be with Martin."
Martin is also a huge fan of crime drama and jumped at the chance to appear in 'McDonald & Dodds', after he starred in an episode of 'Agatha Christie's Marple' in 2006.
He added: "I love this kind of genre.
"When the script came to me, the first thing it took me back to was doing a Miss Marple years ago.
"Sarah Parish, Paul McGann, Dawn French were in it, some big names in there. It was really lovely to do.
"I had such a great experience doing that that I jumped at this.
"I love this kind of drama."
'McDonald & Dodds' series two will return later this month.
