The 38-year-old singer - who previously appeared as a coach on the adult version in 2016 - is already excited to get stuck in and start mentoring the young contestants.

She said: "It's going to be so much fun working with these young singers, helping them find their voices and be the best they can be. From what I've seen, although they're small, their voices are often mighty and can give most adults a run for their money."

Filming for the ITV show stars next month with Emma Willis returning as host, alongside Pixie Lott, Danny Jones and will.i.am.

The 'Stone Cold Sober' hitmaker is set to replace Jessie J after she quit the show after one season to spend more time in the US.

An insider told The Sun newspaper's Bizarre TV column: "Jessie was a good addition to the panel but TV isn't what she's focused on right now and she didn't want to be tied down by the commitments of the series.

"She splits her time between the UK and the US, where boyfriend Channing Tatum lives, so being here all the time doesn't make much sense."

Paloma's return to the franchise next year is set to be a different vibe after she was left sobbing following an explosive row with Boy George during her last appearance.

The insider added: "Producers couldn't persuade Paloma to stay on the panel after her stint three years ago but they have talked her into returning.

"They think she will be great because she's such a zany character."

Meanwhile, the departing 'Price Tag' hitmaker has confirmed her own music is her priority at the moment.

She said: "I made unforgettable memories and learned so much. But for now I am going to be focusing on making music.

"So, sadly, I am saying goodbye to the show and my big red chair this year."
