Paloma Faith has landed a new hour-long BBC documentary.
The 39-year-old star - who is nine months pregnant with her second child and already has a four-year-old daughter with her partner Leyman Lahcine - is set to open up about her career, family life and pregnancy struggles.
She told The Sun newspaper's Bizarre column: "I was very reluctant to let a camera into the very personal experience of working as a first-time mum but Jane is a mother and friend, so I felt safe.
“The result is very telling, exposed and at times emotional for me to watch. I hope it’s a testament to all working mothers.”
The BBC Two piece 'Paloma Faith: As I Am' - which will also be available on iPlayer - has been directed by Jane Mingay who wanted the 'Only Love Can Hurt Like This' singer to inspire other women with her story.
She added: "We see loads of films about rock stars and sex, drugs and rock ’n’ roll, but we never see what women have to do.
"It’s such a private thing having a child and then having to go out and become a different persona.”
And Jane also detailed how the film will explore Paloma's battle to conceive her second baby.
She explained: "There is a moment during the film where she doesn’t know whether she’s going to be able to get pregnant.
"She’s like, ‘I’ve had two rounds of IVF and it hasn’t worked’.
“Obviously a lot of women go through this and it’s really difficult. She does talk about it a lot and it will help many women to see it. It’s a journey that people don’t talk about.”
Meanwhile, Paloma revealed this week she was sent to the Maternal Fetal Assessment Unit (MFAU) to get checked out after experiencing abdominal pain.
She wrote on Instagram: "We were in the MFAU last night because I had some abdominal cramps … bloody praying this one doesn’t come early like the last! (sic)"
