Paige Turley only expected to go on a few dates and top up her tan during her 'Love Island' experience.
The 23-year-old singer - who won the ITV2 dating show with Finn Tapp - thought she would be booted out of the villa after a week in the sun, she but ended up winning the winter series and finding love with her boyfriend.
Speaking on 'Lorraine', she said: "I only expected to go and get a suntan for a week, maybe date a couple of guys and that would be it. Obviously, I went on and met Finn and we went on to win it.
"So it was definitely not what I had thought when I was in there.
"I thought I would be sunbathing all day, whereas you're out doing quite a lot of challenges or with somebody on dates. You've never got that much time to kill, which I thought was fine."
Finn, 21, thought he would date a couple of the Islanders while he was on the show, but he didn't expect to find The One.
He explained: "Not in a million years did I think I would actually find someone.
"There's five girls and five boys to start off, so you're gonna have a few dates here and there but you never think you're gonna find the one that you move out with two three months down the line. It was crazy."
The couple went on to win the 2020 series and have suggested the new Islanders should forget what others might say about them and to just be themselves.
Paige advised: "I would say to forget the outside world. After a while, you do forget but initially, you're thinking, 'How am I being perceived?' and, 'What if I stand forward and someone doesn't pick me?' I think just go in, do your thing, and have fun.
"Whatever's going to happen in there is going to happen, so enjoy it."
Finn added: "Just be yourself. Don't try and be someone you're not. Stay true to yourself and people will like you no matter what."
