One Direction will join Matt Smith on the 'Doctor Who Live: The Afterparty' special.
The boy band superstars will appear along with the Eleventh Time Lord during the one-off show on BBC Three, which will air immediately after 'The Day of the Doctor' on November 23.
The special episode marks the 50th anniversary of the long-running sci-fi favourite, and the 'Story of My Life' hitmakers are set to appear on the post-show programme to celebrate the milestone.
They will appear via video link from Los Angeles to wish the Doctor a happy birthday, while Matt will be in the studio alongside other special guests.
Zai Bennett, controller of BBC Three, said: "The 50th anniversary is going to be a huge party for Doctor Who and we're delighted that BBC Three will be able to give the fans all the backstage access to the stars at the hottest ticket in town."
The announcement was made during last night's 'Children in Need' telecast during which they performed their hit 'Best Song Ever' and fans also got a sneak peak at 'The Day of the Doctor'.
The annual TV appeal - which also saw appearances from the likes of Tinie Tempah, James Arthur and new supergroup McBusted - has raised £31 million, and already topping last year's final total of £26,757,466.
