Olly Murs "practised" for 'The Voice' with reruns of the show.
The 'Dance With Me' hitmaker has joined the talent contest as a coach alongside returning panelists Jennifer Hudson, Sir Tom Jones and will.i.am, and to get himself used to hearing the contestants without seeing their faces, he used his own spinning seat at home.
He admitted: "You know, I practised at home. I put on last year's show and sat with my back to it and spun around when I liked someone."
The 33-year-old singer admitted he was "nervous" about returning to live TV following his 2015 stint as co-host of 'The X Factor', where he infamously announced who was leaving the show before it went to deadlock, but wouldn't have taken the job if he didn't think he could handle it.
He said: "I'm not going to say it didn't cross my mind, because obviously that was a big moment in my career and I made a silly mistake - we all make mistakes at work.
"But this is completely different. I mean, of course I was nervous, I haven't done live TV since, but I wouldn't have taken this job if I didn't think it was right.
"This is my chance to show people my opinions and give them constructive criticism, and not just be that cheeky chappy nice guy."
While he has his back to the auditionees on the show, Olly - who is currently single - still can't resist having a "little flirt" with the attractive hopefuls.
He admitted to heat magazine: "There's obviously some attractive talent on the show but I have to be strictly professional. I'm here to coach them and find a star. Besides, Jennifer has me under lock and key. But I've had a little flirt or two - I can't change who I am."
