Olly Alexander is "amused" by speculation he could by the next 'Doctor Who'.

The 31-year-old actor and musician - who worked with returning showrunner Russell T Davies on Channel 4 drama 'It's A Sin' - has played down rumours he could be in line to replace Jodie Whittaker on the hit BBC sci-fi show, as he's one of the bookies' favourites alongside Lydia West and Omari Doulgas.
Asked about their reactions to the speculation, he told the Metro newspaper's Sixty Seconds column: "Gosh, I think it's quite amusing to us and sort of bizarre.
"'Doctor Who' is shrouded in such intense secrecy so it's almost unspoken about among us."
However, he did say Russell - who brought the show back to the small screen in 2005 - is "excited" to be running the series again.
He added: "I know how excited Russell is. He is the biggest 'Doctor Who' fan in the world so his next iteration is going to be fantastic."
The Years & Years star has addressed the rumours before, and just last month he admitted he was "flattered and inspired" by the idea he could take over control of the TARDIS as Jodie moves on later this year.
Last month, he said: "I was so flattered and inspired by that but I’m definitely not the next Doctor Who. It’s an amazing show and I was quite flattered that people thought I might be able to do it."
And earlier this year, he played down rumours he had held talks with BBC bosses about becoming the new Time Lord.
He explained: "I thought it was quite glamorous and exciting when there was a rumour about it, when The Sun reported that I was in final talks for being the next Doctor. That was news to me.
"I know how much that part means to people and was very flattered and touched that people thought I might be. But I can categorically tell you that I am not the next Doctor.”
