The 26-year-old reality star - who found love with husband Alex Bowen on the second series - is gutted for future Islanders who have missed out on a chance to appear on the ITV reality show this year after the 2020 summer series was cancelled amid the coronavirus pandemic.

Appearing on online cocktail series 'Ready Steady Cuervo', she said: "It is such a shame, but obviously it had to happen. But the show changed my life. It's crazy. Meeting the love of your life, your husband on there, who you're going to have kids with one day. You just don't expect it to happen on a reality TV show. It's really mad!"

Olivia believes the show will continue screening for many more years when it returns.

She said: "It is a shame [for future 'Love Island' contestants] but there's always next year. And it's gonna' keep going.

"We just need to stay in our homes and gardens and pretend we're in our own 'Love Island'."

However, Olivia has been eyeing up other reality shows to try her hand at, but has ruled out 'I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!' due to her fear of creepy crawlies.

She said, "No, I'm not [taking part in 'Strictly'] I wish I was! I am the kind of person to say, never say never, so if something comes up, then I'd give it a go.

"I'd love to do 'Strictly'! That would probably be the one that I go for as I used to dance when I was younger.

"'Dancing On Ice', I'm a bit too scared to do that. 'I'm A Celebrity', I don't like spiders. So all I've got left is 'Strictly Come Dancing'."
