'Orange is the New Black' stars Laura Prepon and Taylor Schilling were left in awe of Jodie Foster after she directed an episode of the series.
The actresses have spoken of their admiration for the legendary Hollywood star, who directed the first episode of Season 2 and an earlier Season 1 episode, and admit they struggled to keep calm on set when she was around.
Speaking to BANG Showbiz, Laura said: "She's a really great actress and director and once you get past the thing of, 'Holy s**t, Jodie Foster is watching me!', then it's smooth sailing. She is incredible."
Taylor - who plays protagonist Piper Chapman in the prison drama - added: "She's an icon in every capacity. She's a director, producer, writer and actor, and to have her rack of experience focused on us was so extraordinary. I was so scared when she came, but she made it not scary to be around her."
The Netflix series is based on Piper Kerman's book, 'Orange is the New Black: My Year in a Women's Prison', and follows her experiences in jail.
Taylor, who plays a bisexual woman convicted of carrying drug money, explained that some of her harrowing scenes left her unable to sleep at night.
She said: "I definitely go home and I can't sleep. I think, 'What do I do? How do I stop this?' But it's my job and I love it, though. "
'Orange is the New Black' Season 2 streams in its entirety on Netflix from June 6. Season 1 is available now.
