Recently chatting to Empire, Norman Reedus - who plays Daryl Dixon in AMC series The Walking Dead - teased some of what viewers and fans can expect in the second half of The Walking Dead when it returns to screens.
He said: "There's going to be a fight... I won't tell you who, when and where, but I can promise you a fight. All of us are about to clash with that motherf***er. There's a lot of turmoil in the second half of season 6."
With new villain Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) set to make his debut on the show, Daryl along with his fellow survivors could face some of their biggest tests to-date.
Reedus also spoke about his character being such a fan favourite, suggesting it could be because: "He's not trying to bulls**t you, and he's definitely not judging you."
Showrunner Scott Gimple has already promised that we'll see quite a lot of Daryl going ahead: "We put Norman through his paces. He's very scary in this back half, but there are a couple of moments where he made me laugh out loud. There is a whole lot of Daryl and a wide variety of Daryl."
This comes after creator Robert Kirkman told EW some details surrounding comic book character Paul 'Jesus' Monroe, who'll also be coming to the sixth season.
Kirkman explained: "Jesus is just such a fun character to write in the comics. At this point in the life of the series, my thought is the apocalypse has been going on for so long, the people you encounter in your day-to-day life have to be extremely skilled. And they've been surviving for a reason, whether they were at a place like Alexandria that's very safe, or they're a great leader of their group and somewhat sadistic but in control of their group like Negan, or someone who's an absolute, complete badass like Jesus.
"He's smart, quick, very athletic. He's kinda been surviving on his feet. He's going to be bringing a lot to the show. There's some cool stuff coming with him."
The Walking Dead returns to FOX UK on February 15 at 9pm, following its American return on AMC at 9/8c on February 14. Spinoff Fear The Walking Dead returns for a second season in April.
