The 69-year-old TV veteran - who was the last celebrity to enter the Australian jungle - has been voted off the show after ten days on the ITV show.

Noel admitted to being "disappointed and relieved" to be leaving the jungle, while he also revealed he was looking forward to being reunited with his wife Liz Davies.

The veteran broadcaster - who previously served as the Emperor of the 'I'm a Celebrity' camp - found himself in the bottom two of the public vote against actress Rita Simons, but he ultimately failed to secure the support he needed to remain in the jungle.

Despite his early exit from the programme, Noel said that the ITV show represented one of the highlights of his career.

Speaking to his fellow campmates the night before his exit, Noel said: "It wasn't easy coming in late so thank you for making it easy as you can.

"Earlier today I was reflecting on how fortunate I am in my life and thinking about true experiences and I wasn't expecting this to get into the top ten of all time."

Following his exit, Noel revealed he's backing Fleur East to ultimately win the 'I'm a Celebrity' crown, describing the pop star as "an astonishing" woman.
