Noel Edmonds has accused Phillip Schofield of stitching him up over their bad-tempered interview about cancer.
The 67-year-old presenter - who was diagnosed with the disease in 2013 - recently appeared on an episode of 'This Morning' after saying "stress" gave him prostate cancer, and was given a grilling by hosts Phillip and Holly Willoughby.
In response to the hosts' line of questioning, Noel said: "Phil, if you are unlucky enough to be seriously ill, I promise I wont be so callous and I will show you respect, sympathy and compassion."
The 'Deal or No Deal' star accused Phillip, 54, and Holly, 45, of being "aggressive, disrespectful and dishonest" during the interview.
Despite this, Phillip has dismissed the suggestions he acted unprofessionally during the interview or that his questions were unfair.
A source told the Sunday Mirror newspaper: "Noel's furious but Phil is angry at suggestions he acted improperly.."
What's more, it was pointed out that the 'This Morning' cast are all extremely sensitive to the issue after the death of their long-time on-screen agony aunt Denise Robertson.
The insider said: "No one would dream of being disrespectful to cancer sufferers. It's still very raw."
But Noel has refused to back down in the argument, releasing a statement through his own website about the controversial interview.
He wrote: "The style of questioning was aggressive and disrespectful to the viewer.
"I am always prepared to give straight answers to straight questions but I wasn't given time to respond.
"Phil - trying to be Jeremy Paxman doesn't suit you and at least JP gives his guest the chance to answer."
