Lacey Turner went back to work on 'EastEnders' the day after suffering a miscarriage.
The 32-year-old actress has suffered two miscarriages, both at the seven-week stage of pregnancy, and she has revealed after one of the tragic losses she went into work the next day "heartbroken", and "nobody would have had a clue".
Lacey - who has 15-month-old daughter Dusty with husband Matt Kay, and is currently pregnant with her second child - said: "I went back to work the next day, carried on like nothing had happened, which actually makes me really sad now looking back.
"I was probably walking around feeling so heartbroken yet nobody would have had a clue.
"There's this whole taboo about not speaking about pregnancy and keeping it a secret until you're 12 weeks and we sort of said, 'It's so early so don't tell anybody.' "
Lacey admitted she felt "so empty" and "numb" after suffering a miscarriage.
Speaking on Channel 5's 'Miscarriage: Our Story', which airs on Thursday (15.10.20), she says: "I just felt so empty.
"I've gone from being so excited and we waited so long for this baby to feeling numb I guess."
Lacey and Matt revealed in September that they are expecting their second child, who is due in February.
She said at the time: "I was over the moon. I had an inkling I was pregnant, so I took the test at home and it was positive.
"We feel so lucky to be expecting our second baby, as it took so long to get Dusty."
Barber Matt added: "When Lacey told me, I was so happy. Having Dusty was the best thing that ever happened to us, so to have another baby is only going to be amazing."
