The former 'EastEnders' actress and her husband, composer and producer Raiomond Mirza, like to keep things fresh in the bedroom by putting on different accents, but she joked he isn't the best at impersonating various twangs.

Nina said: "I can’t imagine still being with my husband if we’d run out of steam.

"Role play has come in very handy.

"For me it’s accents. He’s crap at doing them, it’s just the fact he makes the effort.

"You have to be brave. It’s easier than you think because you’re not being yourself."

The 52-year-old star - who played Zainab Masood in the BBC One soap - admitted her husband is the "best sex toy in the world".

Speaking on the 'Brown Girls Do It Too' podcast, she added: "I have the best sex toy in the world – it’s called my husband.

"I wouldn’t be anywhere in my work, career or life if I hadn’t had the husband that I have. We are equal partners in everything we do."

Last week, Nina was confirmed as a contestant in this year's 'Strictly Come Dancing'.

She said: "I've always been a little bit of a tomboy so this is going to be a bit of a struggle for me.

"Everyone keeps talking about a lot of sequins, and a lot of tanning, which also makes me laugh because I'm Indian.

"But it should be fun. I'm looking forward to it.

"I went to a wedding recently and danced from 7pm to 2am to see if I could do it.

"I didn't look good at the end of it, I can assure you.

"But that was a great start.

"I love to dance. It's something I've always enjoyed doing. It doesn't make me a dancer, I just love to dance."
